The first image is the coat that the Archduke, Franz Ferdinand was wearing when he was killed in front of his wife. This shirt represents the man that was killed by the first shot that effectively started World War 1. The image to the right of the Cyanide is a gas mask. Gas masks were extremely common in World War 1, back then all gas and irritants were available for use in war. All the gas and irritants in the air at some places meant that almost 100% of the time there, gas masks were necessary. The most common used gas was "mustard gas". The third image on the far right is Hitler with his hand the shoulder of one young man. While Hitler may not have been as influential as he was in the second World War, he still took part in the first one, by enlisting in Germany's infantry, this got him interested in Germany's politics, as well as wars, making him basically the most influential man for the second World War, convincing nearly all of Germany that his ideas were the best for the country, the smartest and the most efficient. The final image is some soldiers in World War 1. This image really shows us what war was actually like, it was painful. If not painful for your body, then for your mind. Everyone that was affected by the war in some way, was in some way. It left people without sons, without a father, without a best friend, the overall negative effects of the war are overwhelming.
